It appears that in many cases the upgrade is  corrupting the wubildr file.<\/p>\n<p>If the system fails to boot, especially with an error message,<br \/>\n <strong>file not found &#8216;loadfont&#8217;<br \/>\n unknown command<\/strong><br \/>\n , then boot with a live CD, <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubuntu.com\/WubiGuide#How%20can%20I%20access%20my%20Wubi%20install%20and%20repair%20my%20install%20if%20it%20won%27t%20boot?\" target=\"_blank\">loop mount the wubi root.disk<\/a>, edit the grub.cfg and remove all lines above the first &#8220;menuentry&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Preventing the grub packages from being updated can be <a href=\"http:\/\/ubuntuforums.org\/showpost.php?p=10180520&amp;postcount=78\" target=\"_blank\">a permanent solution<\/a> for this problem. Lock the version of the packages, <strong>grub-pc<\/strong> and <strong>grub-common<\/strong> in Synaptic Package Manager.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If Wubi fails to reboot after upgrade, try the following things.
